Full MS Exchange Support!
Absolutely all types of SMTP servers are supported including Exchange,
Notes, Smartermail, iMail and Groupwise.
Spam Blocker Services runs powerful mail processing systems in two carrier-class data centers. All
email destined for your domain first passes through our filters. We
check it for viruses and spam content. If it passes the tests, it is
immediately delivered to your mail server.
The result is that only clean email mail is routed down your internet
link, freeing valuable bandwidth for your company.
But we don't stop there. If an email message fails one our tests, we
don't just throw it away.
All blocked messages are kept safely in a quarantine storage area on our systems for subsequent review by you
and/or your users.
Not only do we run a battery of tests against incoming email, but we
give as much control to you as you care to have.
Through our customized interface, accessible from anywhere with a
browser, you can adjust filters and establish domain-wide rules and
whitelists. Your users can also manage their own whitelists, ensuring
that you no longer spend hours tracking down an email from
third-cousin Sally.
For users: Individual whitelisting
rules, daily reports, and 24/7 access to quarantined messages. Each day,
Spam Blocker Services compiles a summary report of quarantined email for
each user, and emails it to them. They can review the list of senders
and subjects, and instantly force delivery and whitelisting of any email
they believe should not be quarantined.
For you: Domain-wide control of MAPS
servers, SURBL servers, SPF filters, File Extension filters, Country
filters and more, plus the ability to search for a quarantined sender
across all users on your domain. We also offer reports so you can make
adjustments and measure your filtering effectiveness.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you store my email? It's private and I'm
worried about security.
No, we do not store legitimate email under normal circumstances.
We store your spam.
Email that is not tagged as spam simply passes through our servers in
real time and is handed off to your mail server. However, if your mail
server is down due to an outage on your end, we can
temporarily store your incoming messages so that your server will
receive all email quickly when it comes back on line.
Do I have to be an expert on email filters to
use your services?
No, you don't. When we set up your domain, we provide you with standard
settings to get started. And if you aren't the type of person who wants
to be involved in filter adjustments - if you don't care what a MAPS
server is - don't worry. We'll make take care of managing those settings
for you.
How do my users find out if you've blocked an
email?
We send a report every day to your users (unless you elect to turn that
feature off) containing a short summary of messages caught by our
systems. Each user can release their own quarantined messages, and even
pro-actively whitelist important senders via our friendly and
easy-to-use web interface.
Do you get many false positives?
No, we don't. Chances are, if we blocked it, it's really junk mail.
However, we understand how important it is for users and companies to
ensure that important communications arrive. That's why we've included
built-in whitelisting both at the user and domain level.
What level of protection can I expect?
Our filtering service offers the following...
- Spam Capture Rate of 99%
- Virus Detection and Deletion
- 10 Day Rolling Quarantine for all users
- Delivery Guarantee
- Service Availability 99.99% Uptime
Is it difficult to set up?
No. We can have you up and running within minutes, and be filtering all
your email within 24 hours for most domains. Our intelligent systems
will automatically determine which users on your mail server are
legitimate, and add those users to the web interface automatically as
emails are quarantined.
Why is this better than running my own internal
blocking systems?
Well, we can think of several reasons. First, if you do your own
filtering, you have to manage and maintain the rules, MAPS servers and
other filter criteria. Sure, we offer that level of management too - as
an option - but we can also fully manage those filters for you, at no
extra cost. Second, if you're blocking inbound messages after they have
traveled down your internet link, you're wasting bandwidth because the
majority of those incoming emails are junk. With Spam Blocker Services,
only the good email is passed to your mail server. Finally, if your
internal system doesn't have a way for end users to manage their own
email rules, you're probably spending a fair amount of time tracing lost
messages. Now, your users can access their own filtered messages and
whitelist rules anytime, from anywhere!
Will this save money?
Fair question. We think so. You'll free up bandwidth
(increasing internet speed and productivity), and storage space (No junk
mail reaches your system). If you calculate the amount of
time spent by users reading and deleting junk mail, time spent by
administrators on whitelisting and tracing lost messages, not to mention
the labor costs for repairing infected computers and the percentage of
internet bandwidth consumed by spam at your location, we're pretty
confident you'll see a return on investment very quickly.
